How to Portray a Scene Style that is Cool

How to Portray a Scene Style that is Cool
The cool thing about scene kids is how they portray a scene style that makes them look smart and modern.  If you want to be a real scene kid that attracts people instead of annoying them, you must dress up appropriately.
You can wear tight skinny jeans that expose your slim legs but make them loose at the back.  See to it that they remain to be tight, but just in case they get loose, use a dryer so that you can get back their elasticity then, shrink them a little.

Your jeans should not be flares or bootcuts, but straight-leg pencil jeans.  Hook up a carabiner, then, clip it on your keys and put on the side of your skinny jeans.  Choose the tightest fitting t-shirt but don’t wear crew necks always as they look awkward, or you can wear band shirts and graphic shirts.

Be sure that the band you are displaying is the latest.  You can wear vintage band shirts with birds, animal prints and skulls which are the latest scene designs.  Avoid using Pokemon and foil print because they are already outmoded.

Scene kids normally wear loads of eyeliner and converse chucks or vans.  A lot of scene kids wear bandanas around their necks or cover their face.

Scene girls wear shoes that are bright such as vans, ballet flats, Converse, or high heels which are eye-catching.  To make your shoes look great, you can add things like neon shoelaces with signatures of your friends on your shoes but make sure they look personalized.

Georgia May Jagger the New Face of Hudson Jeans

And so the "rocker+model=rocker or model kid" theorum is once again proven. Following in the footsteps of big sister Lizzy, Jerry Hall and Mick Jagger's youngest spawn - the buck/gap-toothed Georgia May, 17 - just landed her first major campaign as the face of L.A.-based Hudson Jeans.

American Apparel Flea Market Madness

Well, Pixie insisted I come out of hiding and fulfill my American duty this weekend of braving downtown LA and attending the American Apparel Factory Flea Market. Despite my recently getting laid off and onset of an overspending compulsion, there was no way I was not attending. So I grabbed my good friend, Elisa, and off we went.

I didn't see Dov Charney but was pleased by an impostor who I unfortunately couldn't get a picture of because he kept moving from speaker-pole to speaker-pole to hump it.

One sunburn and forty bucks later, I came home with a bra-cami, two track shirts, a pair of slim denim slacks, and a t-shirt dress (which I suppose is no longer on their site.)

Elisa got the supersexy turtleneck dress, which I give her so much credit for because looking at it made me want to pass out from heat stroke and she actually had the lady-balls to try it on. Dear God, it was a hot day.

Pixie insisted I take a pic of myself with the free taco, but, I'm sorry, Pixie, the taco line was just far too long. Elisa and I hit up a Farmer Boys across the street.

Levis New Ad Campaign

I kind of dig it - it's so Obamafied. And it's hard to call bullshit on them because they're among the few denim brands that have kept their prices reasonably "working class" over the years. The "Go Forth" campaign will include TV spots and a new website. What do you think?

What do you think of the new Levis ads?

Cheap Cheap Monday

Yes, they're already pretty reasonably priced, but who doesn't want to hang on to a few extra bills if they can? Here are the cheapest Cheap Mondays available online (minus the horrendous V-Fit which are about $20 on sale but fugly. Not for the high waist, but for the built in VPL-esque seam action.) Start reaching for that debit card ...now!

Back That Ass Up!

Hi I'm Liz, a new contributor to this sweet blog. So, I've been wondering...where are all of my tall girls with big asses? Shut up, it can't just be me. There's got to be some more of you out there. Oh, there you are! Hey, what's up?

I recently stumbled upon the most amazing thing in my life: Baby Phat jeans. Don't look at me like that; I'm serious. I know it's hard for most women to find jeans. We've all got our own body issues and for whatever reason no one makes jeans for any of us. Instead we put on jeans that don't compliment us exactly how we wish they would. Well, my search for the perfect pair of jeans may have just ended.

Now you may be wondering, "Liz, haven't you heard of Apple Bottoms? I mean, c'mon, countless hip hop stars including Nelly and T-Pain have sung about them. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought they were made for big booty girls." Hey there dear reader, I appreciate the thought, but Apple Bottoms just don't do it for me. I've tried them on time and time again and they are never long enough for me. While I was perusing Apple Bottoms at Macy's is actually how I came across Baby Phat jeans. I noticed that lot of Baby Phat jeans are too flashy for me, but I tried on a low key pair and I was instantly in love.

So, my ladies with junk in the trunk - I'd suggest trying your luck with some Baby Phats. And for the rest of you, I wish you the best of luck in your quest for the perfect jeans. Keep me updated if you find some that fit your body just right!
